The thousands of persons watching Xarabank from the Mater Dei Hospital must certainly have noticed her. I am referring to that woman who stood up to ask a question about the new hospital which had just been inaugurated.
With an expression of horror on her face she wanted to know whether the new hospital would provide a TV set for every patient. She asked that question because when she was spending a few days in St Luke’s Hospital she had no such TV set and had to provide one herself!
So much is expected from a Nationalist government: free treatment, free lodging, free medicine, free entertainment… Unbelievable! This lady is old enough to remember when colour TV sets were not even allowed in our houses! But then we had a Labour and not a Nationalist government.
