A Libyan man was charged yesterday with stealing the front grid of a Volkswagen Passat parked in Sliema.
Before magistrate Michael Mallia, Emad Eddin Salem Alfalah, 36, pleaded not guilty to stealing the car’s front grid on Wednesday evening, handling stolen goods, resisting the police and disobeying their orders.
Magistrate Mallia denied him bail and he was remanded in custody. Police Inspector Stephen Gatt prosecuted and Dr Mark Busuttil appeared for the accused.
