Climate Change Concert at Qawra tonight

Activities forming part of the Climate Change Malta Programme started last night in Qawra with a Heart of Gold Festival that included the participation of well-known Maltese artists Gawdenz, Pauline Agius, Andrea Cassar, Enzo Guzman, Cliff and Annabelle, Kristina Casolani, Freddie Portelli, Ludwig Galea, Debbie Scerri, DJ Toby, Hooligan, Fabrizio Faniello, Dance Project by Kristina Schranz, Dance Destiny and l-Batista Leisure Group.

There was also a area for children’s entertainment, where they were treated to illusions, games and magic.

Tonight, Maltese singers Olivia Lewis and J. Anvil, accompanied by the Big Band Brothers and the William Dance Company, as well as young singers Sophie, Chalie, Rebecca, and Naykid, will take part in a concert that starts at 8.30pm. There will also be an appearance by Italian singer Marco Masini

A Disney Show for children is being organised, which will include singing, dancing, animation and illusions, highlighting the best Walt Disney films such as Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Tomorrow, at 8.30pm, there will be a rock concert with Scream Daisy as the main event, and the participation of supporting groups Vinny Vintage, The Monitors and Jozi’s Band.

For children, there will be a Best from Broadway show of singing, dancing, animation and illusions, highlighting the best popular musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Superstar, Chess and Les Miserables.

A park and ride system from Sirens Football Ground to the Qawra Point Green Village will take passengers right up to the Village entrance.
