Massimo Cremona reached the semi-finals of the Grand Prix of Italy held in Rome. He eventually lost to Bolognino of Italy 0-1 in a very tight and balanced game. Bolognino went on to win the event beating Daniele Bertelli 5-2 in the final.
Samuel Bartolo and Derek Conti also took part in the Rome event.
In the group phase Cremona beat Cattani 9-1 and drew with Gara 1-1.
In the last 32 phase he beat Francesco Bombacigno 2-0, in the last 16 Claudio Dogali 1-0 and in the quarter-final he eliminated newly crowned Italian champion Simone Bertelli 2-1.
Bartolo made it to the last 16 in the competition, where he was eliminated by Simone Bertelli 0-1.
In the group stage he beat Utzeri and Porcelli both 3-0 while in the last 32 he put out Pino Setale 1-0.
On his part Conti could not progress further than the last 32 stage being eliminated on a golden goal by Stefano Capposella 0-1.
In the group stage Conti beat Morabito 2-0 and Tenta 3-1 to go through the barrage stage where he beat Subbazoli comfortably 7-0.
Seventy five players took part in the Grand Prix of Italy.
Next event for Cremona will be the Gran Premio di Sicilia in Palermo to be organised by the Italian Federation on 20-21 July.
