For the second consecutive year, Tennis Club Kordin, in conjunction with the Malta Tennis Federation, will be holding the U-16 International ranking tournament for both Boys and Girls.

62 boys and 32 girls from 14 different countries have applied to take part.

Among the high-ranking participating players are Omar Giacalone of Italy (r. 95) and Alina Yonovskaya of Russia (r. 57).

The Maltese boys taking part in this tournament are Malcolm Ferrante (r.1157), Kurt Ricci, Matthew Booker, Jean paul Schembri, Omar Sudzuka, Matthew Wards and Christ Abdelghani.

The girls are Elaine Genovese (r.179), Jasmine Hefney, Alexia Valencia and Brenda Galea

The qualifying rounds for both sections will be played on Saturday 14 July.

Signing-in for qualifying rounds takes place on Friday 13. from 4pm to 6pm.

Signing-in for the Main Draw will take place on Sunday 15 from 2pm to 4pm.

Draws will be made immediately after the signing-ins for both the Qualifying Rounds and the Main Draws.

Play of the Main Draws starts on Monday16 July and comes to an end with the finals on Sunday 22 July.

Signing-in for the double events will be held on Monday 16 with play starting the following day

A consolation event for both boys and girls will be held for first and second rounds losers.
