This is a warning to all parents whose teenagers go on-line to chat with friends on Hi-5.

As you probably know, this is usually a harmless website youngsters use to meet and chat with people their own age. However, my 13-year-old daughter recently received a graphic pornographic film clip from someone while she was chatting. The message sent with the clip also contained obscene words, which seemed to come from someone older than a teenager.

This film came through even though we had installed a programme that is supposed to filter and stop this type of material from being received on my daughter’s computer.

I immediately reported the matter to the police; however I felt that I should also make this matter public because of the popularity of this site. So please keep an eye on what your children are watching while chatting on Hi-5 and report anything of this nature immediately to the police so whoever is sending porn to young teenagers can be traced and caught.
