The newly-refurbished Mall Garden in Floriana will be opened tomorrow, to complement other refurbishment works in and around the capital, including the Upper and Lower Barrakka gardens, and Hastings Garden.

Work by the Resources and Infrastructure Ministry started with the installation of a new illumination system at the Mall.

Then the refurbishment started in earnest with the replacement of all the garden’s paving, installation of garden furniture and a design to complement the straight and long lines of the Mall, which is about 350 metres long.

The paving covered 4,000 square metres. A drip irrigation system was also installed and new railings provided, manufactured by the government’s garage workers.
