Three Handball National teams on foreign tours

The Malta Handball Association has this year embarked on a project to give the National teams the experience needed for technical improvement.

The Juniors will be taking part in the FISEC Games, which this year are being held in Nyiregyhaza, Hungary. Teams from France, Portugal, Spain, Hungary and Austria will be taking part. Coach Joseph Tanti, has this year been given the onus of preparing the team.

For the first time the women's team is taking part abroad in the Interamnia World Cup in Teramo. Teramo is the mecca of handball during this week and no less than 80 women's teams are taking part in this festival. Orlando Bonnici is coaching the team for the first time.

In preparation for the Challenge Trophy which will be held in Scotland in October, the Men's national team will be playing in the Eurofest international tournament in Slovenia. The Eastern countries have a very strong tradition in handball and this preparation will be an invaluable experience to the national team.

The players forming the team are: Chircop R., Ben Moussa I., Cilia S.,Delicata M., Gilson M., McLean C., Mifsud A., Psaila L., Tanti J., Invernizzi A., Friggieri J. The team is under the guidance of the National Coach Milos Stanisavljevic helped by Karl Chetchuti as Manager.

Teams from the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Latvia, Spain and Algeria will be taking part in this event.
