Ibrahim Babatunde (photo) is expected to become the property of Turkish football giants Galatasaray today.
The Nigerian player, who has been playing for Msida St Joseph during the past two seasons, has been in Austria for a one-week trial, keeping all his local admirers waiting for a decision on his future.
The Msida St Joseph FC website yesterday announced officially that Babatunde was to sign for Galatasaray.
In Malta, he had been the target of at least three clubs, Sliema W., Valletta and Birkirkara.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that Valletta had offered him a salary of EUR3,000 per month plus additional benefits. The Nigerian did not accept City’s proposals and decided to go abroad.
