Following last year’s success, leading wine importers P. Cutajar & Co. are holding their second wine appreciation event this weekend at the Razzett l-Abjad, San Gwann.
No fewer than six leading wine experts from the wine houses represented in Malta by P. Cutajar & Co. will be leading a number of tutorials to enable the public to understand the background, history and process of making the various wines that are imported.
According to the company’s director Denis Zammit Cutajar: “We are targeting people who enjoy wine and would like to know more about the wines they are buying.”
Over 44 different wines will be uncorked on six stalls, where wines from the various regions can be sampled throughout the evening, giving existing and potential clients the opportunity to compare and contrast. Those present will be able to taste and experience the differences between grape varieties and vinification processes. They will also have the opportunity to buy any of the wines to enjoy at home.
Six wine tutorials will be held each evening on Saturday and Sunday between 8pm and 10.45pm for which space is limited (booking is highly recommended). The tutorials will focus on Pasqua and Bersano wines from the Veneto and Piedmont regions in Italy respectively, Laroche wines, Chateaux wines from the Bordeaux region, Bouchard wines from Burgundy and finally on Martini sparkling wines.
This fantastic wine experience is being held each evening from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. Those wishing to reserve a place should telephone Chris Gauci on 2144-8466, send an SMS to 9929-8888 or email cgauci@ pcutajar.com.mt
