The Atlam Sub Aqua Club is once again taking the initiative to organise, for the ninth consecutive year, a Scuba Diving Open Day to raise funds for charity.

This year, the event will be held on 22 July, between 9am and 6pm, and will take place at Qawra Point near Ta’ Fra Ben.

Proceeds from this activity will be in aid of 18-year-old Jackie Chircop, who suffers from a very rare condition called Simplex Herpes Encephalitis.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to have a go at scuba diving.

They will be professionally led and assisted by diving instructors. Doctors will be in attendance to carry out the necessary checks on all the participants.
