Students from Luton’s youth music groups are packing suitcases ready for their forthcoming trip to Malta.

This will be their second trip to Bugibba following a successful tour in 2004 that drew audiences of more than 500 people and led to the musicians being invited back.

The 88 students from Luton Youth Concert Band, Luton Youth Jazz Orchestra and Luton Youth Chamber Choir, are aged between 12 and 20 and will fly out on 26 July.

Four outdoor concerts will be held in Bugibba Square, the roof terrace of Hotel Santana, Rabat Parish Square, and St Paul’s Bay. On 29 July the musicians will be the honoured guests of Rabat Parish Council.
