A 35-year-old man from Senglea was remanded in custody after he pleaded guilty to several charges.
Mikiel-Anglu Mamo pleaded guilty, before presiding Magistrate Miriam Hayman, to damaging a religious statue, stealing over Lm100 from St Monica Church to the detriment of the Dominican Fathers Community in Guardamangia on Wednesday 4 July.
He also pleaded guilty to causing Lm50 worth of damage to the Dominican Fathers Community.
Mamo pleaded guilty to stealing cash and several ecclesiastic items worth over Lm100 from the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Paceville at around 3.45am on Monday 2 July.
He also pleaded guilty to stealing a number of items worth over Lm100 from a boat in Ta’ Xbiex on 9 July and relapsing.
Police Inspector Michael Mallia prosecuted and Dr Martin Fenech appeared for the accused.
