Cash Stolen in armed robbery

The police are investigating an armed robbery at a shop on the Coast Road in Bahar ic-Caghaq early yesterday morning during which an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

The police said the armed robbery took place at around 7am when three armed and hooded robbers entered a shop on the Coast Road. They tied up two employees who were inside at the time and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and other objects. The employees were not injured.

Duty Magistrate Antonio Vella was informed about the case and has opened a magisterial inquiry.

Police investigations are still under way.
