An amount of cash was stolen during another armed robbery yesterday morning, this time in Zabbar.

The police said the robbery took place in Cemetery Street in Zabbar at 8.45am when two armed and hooded men stopped the driver of a van and demanded the cash he was carrying. The robbers grabbed the cash and fled in a getaway car in which two accomplices were waiting.

No one was injured during the incident.

Duty magistrate Doreen Clarke was informed about the case and appointed a number of court experts to assist her in the magisterial inquiry.

The police are investigating.
