A 22-year-old woman was conditionally discharged for six months yesterday, after she pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers and slightly injuring one of them in Hamrun on Sunday evening.
Claudia Farrugia from Msida was charged with assaulting and threatening police sergeant Liliana Mifsud and police constable Emmanuel Muscat. She was also charged with slightly injuring the sergeant, disobeying the police, using indecent language and breaching the peace.
Magistrate Doreen Clark presided over the court. Police inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted and Dr Veronique Dalli appeared for the accused.
