Joint marketing of Malta and Tunisia for long-haul travellers was discussed at a meeting between the tourism ministers of the two countries, having in mind particularly visitors from China, India and the United States.
The idea would involve cooperation between tour operators in the two countries, the Department of Information said.
Francis Zammit Dimech met his Tunisian counterpart, Tijani Haddad, and a delegation Mr Haddad is leading here. They also discussed the ties that already exist in yachting and cruising, an exchange of experts, the development of tourism and investment in tourism sectors.
The Tunisian delegation leaves Malta today.
