Adam Vella and Aidan Buhagiar each won a bronze medal in the 58kg and 85kg respectively in the world famous KWIK Internationals 2007 in Bazel/Kruibeke, Belgium.

Matthew Bonnici was rather unlucky not to also clinch a bronze in the 54kg. The fourth wrestler was Andrea Saliba (63kg).

The Maltese youths were participating in the Cadet Division (17-18 year olds).

Malta’s representatives were under the charge of Malta Amateur Wrestling Federation Youth Director Abraham Vassallo (see photo above).
