The new staff at The Palace hotel last week attended an induction programme organised by the hotel administration as part of a familiarisation exercise to introduce the new employees.
The day-long induction programme included welcome speeches by the Operations Manager Jason Degiorgio and the HR Manager Romina Pace and introductions by all heads of departments. The programme included presentations about The Palace and its targeted market as well as general policies and procedures at this new five-star hotel. The training and work schedule for the coming three weeks prior to the arrival of the first guests was also discussed.
The new employees were hosted to lunch at the Copperfield Restaurant at the Victoria Hotel and were also given a tour of the whole complex including Palazzo Capua, the Victoria and The Palace.
The staff was also addressed by the general manager Claire Xuereb who welcomed them all to The Palace explaining the whole process which led to this final stage of the four-year project and the imminent opening of the five-star boutique hotel. Ms Xuereb said, “I feel confident that this hotel will be one of the best on the island because we have hand-picked the best people available in the industry. The hospitality which it is going to offer is genuine based on a particular speciality – its employees.”
