Chaucer’s Bookshop at Bay Street joined in the general Potter fever that has also hit Malta and installed Harry Potter displays around the shop much to the pleasure of the many children who accompanied by their parents have rushed to book their publication of the last book in the series.
Together with the rest of the world, Chaucer’s at Bay Street will be opening the sale of Deathly Hallows at precisely 1.01am on Saturday. This coincides with the international time at which the book will be issued world-wide to the avid readers who rush to acquire the first copy of each record-breaking publication.
The launch of the last Harry Potter book by J. K. Rowling coincides with the issuing in Malta of the latest film in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which opened at the Eden Century last weekend. For this occasion, a number of entertaining performances and activities were also held in collaboration with Bay Street last weekend.
