A 26-year-old Libyan national was charged yesterday with trafficking cannabis resin on Tuesday.

Suleiman Khalifa Ibrahim, who was born in Egypt and currently resides in Sliema, pleaded not guilty to trafficking and being in possession of the drug, which was found in a state that denoted it was not for his exclusive use.

He was denied bail and remanded in custody.

The court was presided over by magistrate Michael Mallia. Police inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted and Dr Anthony Cutajar appeared for the accused.
