The Ministry for the Family and Social Solidarity was hiding the truth from the people and should be ashamed that its systems were so inefficient that they could not cope with the day to day needs of the service, causing hardship to many who depended on it, Marie-Louise Coleiro-Preca, MLP spokesman on social solidarity, said.

The ministry should explain why there were still those who had not yet received their children’s allowance, even if they had applied late, which was not always the case; there were those who had not received the June bonus, and others who had not received the energy rebate though they had applied early.
