Mater Dei Migration fever takes hold

Malta Independent Friday, 20 July 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The first phase of the migration from St Luke’s Hospital to the new Mater Dei Hospital began yesterday with the transportation of hundreds of boxes packed with items, including computers.

Sources said three truckloads of office equipment and other goods were transported to Mater Dei. The process is expected to continue today and early next week. Some of the offices at the new hospital already started to function.

Today, a considerable number of managerial and administrative staff will report for work at Mater Dei instead of St Luke’s. All the management and administrative block will be fully functional by mid next week. There will be around 100 people working from the new administration and management block at Mater Dei.
