Emirates Sales office gets a boost

Malta Independent Tuesday, 24 July 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Emirates new Sales Office, located on the first floor at Malta International Airport in Gudja, now offers more space and provides a one-stop travel shop for customers who can book their flights in relaxed and colourful surroundings.

Paul Fleri Soler, Emirates Manager for Malta and Cyprus, said: “The newly refurbished office is underlining both our growing business strategy and strengthening further our position in the travel services sector in Malta.”

“Ever since Emirates’ first inbound flight in 1998, we have continually expanded our services on the island. In September 2006, we launched an additional fifth weekly flight and eight months later deployed a larger aircraft, the Boeing 777-200 on the Malta – Dubai route with a stopover in Larnaca, Cyprus.”

Emirates is seeking to increase travel opportunities for travelers from Malta and Cyprus, while giving more passengers access to the Emirates network. Emirates currently operates services to 92 cities in 59 countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent and Asia-Pacific. New routes planned for 2007 include Sao Paulo, Newcastle Toronto, Houston, while Venice was inaugurated this month.

Emirates Sale Office is manned by highly trained and dedicated staff. The airline currently employs a total of 12 Maltese employees at its outstation office with the possibility of recruiting one or two more.
