The front door of a residence was set ablaze yesterday morning in Triq l-Imsagar, Attard.

The police received information around 7.15am that a building’s front door was ablaze. No one was inside at the time.

Civil Protection Department members were called to prevent any hazard, after neighbours controlled the fire. Although the house and the neighbouring residences were not damaged, the front door and the porch sustained considerable damage.

Duty Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna appointed several court experts to assist him in his inquiry.

Police investigations are still under way.
