Enemalta chairman Ing. Alexander J. Tranter and chief executive officer David Spiteri Gingell recently welcomed 14 newly recruited Project Officers who have been assigned duties ranging from the chemical testing of minerals to mechanical and electrical engineering tasks on both the distribution and generation facilities at Enemalta.

During the meeting, Ing Tranter took the opportunity to present the new recruits with the various strategic projects that Enemalta will be undertaking over the coming years, such as increasing generating capacity, distribution centres and the implementation of a number of technological solutions in billing, remote monitoring, and smart metering. Ing Tranter encouraged the new project officers to voice their opinions and make their suggestions with regard to their career development.

“The introduction of 13 new engineers and a chemist clearly demonstrates Enemalta’s commitment to invest in new human resources at a tertiary level of education. These new Project Officers will surely continue to strengthen Enemalta’s graduate workforce in the light of a number of large, very challenging and technically- oriented projects. I am certain that these newly recruited graduates will contribute to these very exciting projects we have planned”, said Ing. Tranter.
