Reference is made to the article entitled Lm1 million campaign to attract more ICT lecturers to MCAST (TMID, 24 July). We would like to clarify that the approved budget of Lm1 million is in fact not only intended to attract more ICT lecturers to MCAST, as the title implies, but covers a number of measures. These measures include the funding of a large number of students’ courses with private training providers under MCAST’s supervision, the recruitment of lecturers and coordinators, and other measures which are envisaged to allow as many students as possible to follow ICT courses at MCAST.
