A 48-year-old foreigner, whose nationality is still unknown, is on the critical list after he was injured at sea off St Julian’s as the dinghy in which he and his son were sailing capsized.
The Police learned that the accident took place at around 11.30am, and the dinghy capsized because of a sudden gust of wind.
The man was given first aid by a doctor who happened to be passing by. An ambulance was called and took the man to St Luke’s Hospital, where he was found to be suffering from serious injuries and in danger of dying. His son did not suffer any injuries.
