Air Malta had its wing in the Isle of MTV Malta Special on Thursday because it brought one of the foreign artistes to perform on the night – the band Maroon 5, on its London Heathrow-Malta flight.

The band performed alongside heart-throb Enrique Iglesias, and R&B singer Akon. The Isle of MTV Malta Special was held at the Granaries in Floriana

Malta’s own Ira Losco and Winter Moods together with DJs Tony Toni, Pierre Cordina, Ruby, Miss Roberta, Joseph Armani and J Joy completed the night’s line-up.

This summer, the Maltese islands are offering tourists a fun-filled summer holiday that not only includes sun, sand and sea but also a rich calendar of events and activities featuring top international and local artists ranging from dance, jazz and rock festivals, contemporary and classical concerts, village feasts, wine festivals and exhibitions among others.

Air Malta assisted in the organisation of the Isle of MTV Malta Special, which will be aired on MTV stations across Europe, reaching a potential audience of over 130 million. The airline’s assistance forms part of its Committed to the Community initiative that aims to support and encourage local organisations and activities in various sectors be they cultural, social, philanthropic environmental, heritage and sport, that help the Maltese community in some way or another.
