Maltese music lovers are in for a treat as Vodafone Malta Limited has just launched the Vodafone Music Jam Club.

The club is exclusive for Vodafone customers and through the club, music lovers can benefit from special exclusive offers on Vodafone Music Jam events.

The club was officially launched by Vodafone chief executive officer Iñaki Berroeta and Chief Commercial Officer Mikhail Gerchuk, in the presence of Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech and Winter Moods frontman Ivan Grech and Ira Losco.

Mr Gerchuk said Vodafone customers love music and Vodafone will be thanking them for their loyalty by offering exclusive access to the best music events in Malta. He added that the customers’ response to the Vodafone Music Jam events over the past months has encouraged Vodafone to make the club official, securing more events and exclusive opportunities for members including special discounts. He reiterated that Vodafone is the only network that offers Full Track Music Download with 30,000 tracks to listen to.

Vodafone has supported a great number of concerts, such as the Ira Losco Unplugged concert, the Fireworks Festival, the Jazz and Rock Festival, the Isle of MTV Malta Special and the concerts by José Carreras and Bryan Adams. In the coming days, Vodafone Music Jam will include also the National Opera Goes Pop as well as the Farsons Great Beer Festival.

Minister Zammit Dimech thanked Winter Moods, Ira Losco and the other Maltese artistes who took part at the Isle of MTV Malta Special for the great show and “for making us proud”. He said the organisers were really impressed with Malta, adding that the country was experiencing a vibrant cultural and musical scene.

Dr Zammit Dimech said this summer’s activities put Malta at par with the best of European cities, and were contributing to the country’s tourism industry.

He thanked Vodafone for supporting these musical events, that project Malta as a distinctive cultural destination.

Winter Moods frontman Ivan Grech said singing in front of that huge crowd was scary, and he would never forget the evening as it was the largest crowd he had ever sung to. He expressed his approval of the equipment utilised during the show and said that such equipment as well as similar crowds could better help local artistes to improve their acts.

For her part, Ira Losco said the experience had been exhilarating, which has made her think that even though we live in a small island, great events can still come our way, especially thanks to Vodafone.
