Louis Azzopardi has been elected to the post of Deputy President of the Malta Basketball Association. This post means that he now cannot serve his club Luxol according to the statute.

The elections were held on Friday during the annual general meeting of the Association.

He beat contestant Stephen Muscat by eight votes to three. The latter was named treasurer once again after Owen Sciberras withdrew his nomination to contest for the post.
