Lm454,783 Paid for teams at national level

A global amount of Lm454,783 was paid by the Malta FA for its national teams, according to the Income and Expenditure Account.

The previous season, the MFA had spent Lm346,886 in this sector.

The bulk of the amount went to the national teams as well as the technical staff.

As for the national teams, an amount of Lm182,248 was spent on travelling and accommodation while Lm123,700 were spent on the technical staff.

The third biggest amount – Lm55,279 – was spent on kits and training equipment while Lm35,098 was paid to the national team players in bonus and appearance money. A further Lm30,185 was forked out for players’ training allowances.

Another considerable amount – Lm18,213 – went on insurance and medical expenses.

The income in this sector generated Lm43,059.
