During 2008, the Maltese Olympic Committee will be celebrating its 80th anniversary. A sub-committee within the Executive Committee, in the months to come will be launching a series of activities to mark this important event in the annals of Maltese sport.

The Maltese Olympic Committee had its first official meeting on 5 June 1928 at 153, Old Mint Street, Valletta prior to the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games.

As from this issue, we will be publishing unique unedited photos relative to the first years of existence of the Maltese Olympic Committee which in 1928 was known as The Olympic Committee of Malta.
