Marsaxlokk and Malta striker Daniel Bogdanovic (photo) has joined Serie C side Foggia for a trial. He is at their training camp in Chatillon, in Val d’Aosta.

The Montenegrin striker is aiming to playing abroad the coming season. He has already undergone two trials abroad, with Brann Bergen in Norway and Stoke City in England. However, those trials were unsuccessful.

Together with Bogandovic, 27, Foggia are also giving a trial to another foreigner, 21-year-old Luis Tinoco of Portugal who is registered on the books of Gil Vicente and plays on the flank.

Bogdanovic is expected to remain with the Foggia squad till the end of their camp in Val d’Aosta at the end of next week.

Bogdanovic has been in Malta for 10 years now. His first club in Malta was Sliema Wanderers. Six years ago, he played for Vasas in Hungary, but his stay last six months, following which he joined Naxxar Lions. After that he also played for Valletta, but in January 2003, he moved to Bulgaria where he played for Cherno More Varna. After moving to Ghajnsielem on loan in 2004, he returned to Sliema, but last season, he helped Marsaxlokk win their first ever league title, scoring 31 goals.
