Malta’s Tony Drago has been drawn to meet Chinese wild card entry A. Bulajiang in the Wild Card round at next week’s Shanghai Masters tournament starting on Monday.

Drago had qualified to take part in the Shanghai event in June but this ranking tournament is including this Wild Card round, wherein other top players like Scott McKenzie, Stuart Pettman, Fergal O’Brien, Adrian Gunnell, Dominic Dale, Michael Judge and Mike Dunn will also be facing local Chinese players in the opening round.

The winners of these eight matches will proceed to the Last 32 Stage.

If Drago wins his match against Bulajiang, he will advance to a date with Ryan Day which will be Match 10 of the tournament.

The winner will then proceed to the next round for a clash with either Shaun Murphy, a former world champion, or Ian McCulloch who meet in Match 19 in the Round of Last 32.

The tournament is being televised daily by Eurosport.
