The Customs Department has seized a trailer after finding undeclared merchandise in it. The trailer had been brought by catamaran from Sicily.

A statement said Customs officials found washing liquid in the trailer for which no import licence had been presented. The goods were seized.

While the trailer was being unloaded, a quantity of beer was found which also did not have the necessary documentation, and on which VAT and duty had not been paid. That too was held.

All the merchandise was seized, including the trainer.
