OGAE Malta is in a position to confirm that Chiara, who represented Malta in 1998 and 2005, has no intention of taking part in Eurovision 2008.

During a telephone conversation with Olivier Vanhoutte in Belgium, Chiara stated that she is not interested in taking part in Eurovision Song Contest 2008.

“I will give my full attention to my first child, due to be born this December. In the following months I will be taking care of the child, who will get my full attention and care. So, at the moment Eurovision is out of the question.”

The news comes as a surprise, following the rumours circulating on the net recently that Chiara was planning a comeback at the Eurovision 2008 in Serbia.
