HSBC Cares for Children Fund (HCCF) has presented a sponsorship to the OASI Foundation to help fund the Summer OASI Learning Experience (SOLE). The sponsorship was presented by Mr Richard Mercieca, HSBC area director for Gozo to Fr Manwel Cordina, director of the OASI Foundation in Gozo.

OASI Foundation is a voluntary, non-governmental organisation based in Gozo, which helps people avoid drug and alcohol use by providing preventive education, immediate intervention, treatment and rehabilitation of persons using substances.

The Summer OASI Learning Experience is organised for child members of the OASI Kids Club and their friends. A five-day summer camp, it is aimed particularly at children at risk, and provides a safe, free, educational, fun and creative environment.

“HCCF is always at the forefront of contributing towards educative and prevention programme targeting young people, and in this respect, OASI does great work with persons at risk in Gozo,” said Richard Mercieca. “We hope our modest contribution will help.”
