Champions Marsaxlokk and U*Bet FA Trophy winners Hibernians face off this evening as they clash for the first honour of the new season - the Super Cup. The match kicks off at 8pm.

Extra time will be played if necessary. At the end of extra time, if the result is still a draw, penalties will be taken according to the Laws of the Game to decide the issue.

The two sides have already met this season in the Euro Cup competition where a highly interesting 3-3 draw was the outcome.

At the end of the tournament, it was Hibernians, however, who triumphed as they lifted the Cup on a superior goal difference to Marsaxlokk and Sliema as all three matches in the competition ended in draws.

The two sides, especially Hibernians, have made no relatively big changes to their squad, while Marsaxlokk will be able to parade new signing William Camenzuli from Birkirkara, who joined the champions in exchange for Shaun Bajada.

Hibernians have won the Cup once while for Marsaxlokk, it will be their first appearance.
