HSBC Malta is now a corporate partner of the newly established MCAST Student Council. Through a sponsorship agreement spanning two scholastic years, the Bank will be supporting the Council in its initiatives and responsibilities, while also offering an attractive financial package with preferential rates, customised to the Council’s needs.
With nine institutes covering various sectors of education, including Business & Commerce, Community Service and Information and Communications Technology, plus another center in Gozo, the Malta College for Art, Science and Technology has grown exponentially over the years and now caters for over 3,500 students from different backgrounds. HSBC has always had the students’ well-being at heart and this is what prompted the decision to sponsor the MCAST student council.
“For most students, furthering their studies and entering MCAST is a milestone in their academic life,” said Julian Portelli, Public Relations Officer for the Student Council. “The MCAST Student Council plans to be at the forefront in the organisation of events to make MCAST life more fruitful and exciting for students while HSBC’s partnership will help us provide important services to students, while we establish our representation.”
Josef Camilleri, Head of Public Affairs and CSR said: “Student support is high on HSBC’s list of educational initiatives. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn, participate and enjoy all that they do spurs us to continue supporting Malta’s future professionals.”
