Chalie a former lead singer of the Young Talent Team has recently been very busy with her performing arts career. Boosted by some really good O level results, she found time to dedicate to various projects which undoubtedly helped the 15 year-old artist to her recent achievement at an international dance meeting in Tropea, Italy.

In January she won the right to audition for a BBC talent show, for which she travelled to Manchester in what proved to be an excellent learning experience. In April, encouraged by a positive solo debut, she set off writing her own material and by last month, working closely with 18 year old composer Sean V., produced her debut single Last Day which will be released later on this month.

Chalie was selected recently to sing at the Marco Masini Concert at Climate Change Malta, a Live Earth Concert when she sang with the Big Band Brothers for the first time. Another golden opportunity was on the horizon, and Chalie was invited by the choreographer Kristina Schranz to join the Dance Team from the Brigitte Gauci Borda school in a trip to Tropea, Italy.

This International Dance Meeting at a dance college called Broadway in Tropea was conducted by professional international dance choreographers such as Michèle Assaf, H. Young Woo, Kledi Kadiu, Michele Oliva, and Terry Beeman, among others. After a full week of high standard dance training and extreme dedication, Chalie won a prestigious scholarship given by the Tropea Faculty. Chalie is now back in Malta and preparing for performances at the Gozo Music Festival on 18 August.
