A 55-year-old man from Birkirkara is in critical condition after he was involved in a family argument that took place in Ta’ Paris area in Birkirkara at around 3am yesterday, the police said.

In a statement, the police said they were informed that there was an argument in an apartment in the Ta’ Paris area in Birkirkara.

They also stated that the man’s injuries were caused by a knife and he was immediately taken to St Luke’s Hospital.

The police detained a 21-year-old woman to help them in their investigations

Duty magistrate Anthony Vella appointed several experts to help him in the inquiry.

Police are investigating.
