My daughter was in need of an urgent operation and this type of intervention is not available in Malta. My sister from Xewkija told me that the Qala parish offers a service called Informa – Qala whereby professionals assist people in many affairs.
I contacted the parish office and was told to contact one of the professionals and I was given the royal treatment. Such service we can never imagine to be offered in the UK where I reside most of the year. Dr Raymond Xerri went out of his way to assist me in finding the medical specialist, book an operation, flights, accommodation and so much more.
After several hours of calls to the Caribbean and UK to find the surgeon, thanks to the assistance by Dr Xerri and his team, we had all arranged. When I offered to pay the group for the superb service, strangely enough they forcefully refused any funds and we were told that any donations should be addressed to the parish office or placed in the St Joseph moneybox in the main church.
Such service, dedication, love, trust and honesty are an absolute rarity in today’s world. May God bless you all and you are a true reflection of what Christ preached and what your faith dictates. I forgot to ask, what other services are offered by Informa – Qala?
