Fourteen teams of six shooters each took part in The Down The Line Team Event which was successfully organised by the Malta Shooting Sport Federation at the Bidnija ranges yesterday.

The best four scores of each shooter qualified for the team event.

Msierah were the winners with 196/200.

Their team was made up of shooters M.Mifsud (49), J. Micallef (49), P. Grech (49) and C. Borg (49). Second placed were Zebbug with 195/200 and Mellieha placed third with a total of 192/200.

Michael Bugeja won the first place in the individual event after he managed to smash 50 out of 50+25+25+12=112 Frans Muscat (111) finished second overall and Zaren Attard (83) was third.

The Malta Shooting Sport Federation would like to thank all the shooters for their cooperation who took part in this event.

Next Saturday the MSSF shooting ranges will be open for practice in Compact Sporting - a shooting discipline which will be introduced in the 2012 Olympics.
