Neglect at St Vincent de Paul residence for the elderly was becoming ever more obvious in view of the fact that the main entrance which was damaged two months ago, had still not been done up.

The damage was caused by a heavy vehicle and had introduced an element of danger.

Marie Louis Coleiro Preca, MLP spokesman for social solidarity, and Silvio Parnis, spokesman for the elderly, said the matter showed only what crass neglect there was at the residence, though the elderly were paying dearly from their pension and their assets for their care there.
