Last Sunday, the third and final leg of the Fanta tournament took place at Pretty Bay, Birzebbugia.

The ladies category was dominated by the fierce competition of the two top teams. As in the previous two tournaments, the final saw the Hibs team, formed by Gertrude Zarb and Alison Borg Hayman play against the Aloysian girls, Maria Demicoli and Dorianne Bonnici.

It was well fought with Borg Hayman and Zarb winning the first set. It seemed that the third tournament would go again to the Paolites. However, in a fantastic come-back, Demicoli and Bonnici managed to win the second set thus levelling at 1-1.

Borg Hayman and Zarb committed many mistakes in the third set compared to excellent attacks by Aloysians.

The match ended at 15-11 in favour of Demicoli and Bonnici who thus won their first Fanta tournament this season.
