Birkirkara Badminton Club’s new season took off with a get-together held recently and attended by members, families and friends. During this activity the various winners of the club’s competitions held during last season were presented with the trophies, sponsored by SPORTS EXPERIENCE.

The firm SPORTS EXPERIENCE of Attard (local agents of LEGEA Sportswear) also offerred technical assistance to Birkirkara Badminton Club in the form of Tracksuits, Kits and Sports Bags for the Club’s teams.

This presentation ceremony was held recently at St Aloysius Sports Complex Birkirkara during one of the Birkirkara Club’s training sessions (held every Friday). Mr Alex Debono, representative of Sports Experience, presented the sports material to the club’s committee who thanked the local firm for their support which shows the faith it has in the club and the game of badminton.

Most of the players are now in full preparation for the next season, which will kick off with the yearly International Youth Tournament, where the youth players of Birkirkara will face a Scottish club in October.

Birkirkara Badminton Club has over 60 members, and have among their ranks the 2007 Malta Men’s Singles and Doubles Champions, besides other promising players and a strong Nursery set-up.
