Following the recent disaster caused by the earthquake in Peru, the EU has asked for assistance from all EU countries to be sent to the stricken areas.

The Civil Protection Department will be responding to this request in the usual manner (ie a collection of items from the public). Therefore, in collaboration with the Missionary Society of St Paul (Fr Louis Mallia MSSP), which has a number of convents and priests in the vicinity of Lima, Peru, the CPD will be issuing a call for the public to contribute blankets, clothes and foodstuffs.
