The GWU is ordering fresh industrial action directives in its dispute with Airest which, the union says, is not honouring the positions and grades under which employees had been transferred from Airport Services to Airest.

To date, the union said, it had ordered go-slow and work-to-rule actions but now the actions are being extended to Air Malta, in sympathy with Airest employees. The union said that from today, employees in Air Malta’s finance department will be going slow when doing work related to processing bills for Airest.

Air Malta ground operations staff will also be going slow in connection with flight KM613 when this touches down from Rome at 10am.
