Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, who has received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Malta, wrote personally to Malta Labour Party Foreign Affairs spokesman Leo Brincat who praised the Spanish minister’s efforts in Mediterranean affairs.

Mr Moratinos said, “You know how much I have been involved in the Mediterranean affairs during all of my diplomatic career and how much I would like to see a just and lasting solution to the situation in the Middle East. It is always very rewarding to have one’s efforts recognised by those who, like you, are well-placed to judge them.”
